Misfits it is with a very heavy heart that I need to let you know that our Brother Misfit Ted Schmidt passed away Tuesday. He fought a long and courageous battle against cancer beside his soul mate and wife of over 50+ years Linda. Ted was a long time Misfit and loved riding with the group. In the last few months he would come up to the Hess and see us off cause it was too uncomfortable to make the ride. He was a Misfit to the bone as well as a very good friend to me, he will be missed greatly. He rode a black Harley Fat Boy which he truly loved.
There will be a celebration of Life for him on July 11th. I will organize a ride to the service for those Misfits that want to pay tribute to such a wonderful man. He served in the Military and then the Fire Department and was a lobster fisherman with his wife Linda before he moved to Florida and became a Misfit.
While I am still on vacation, I wanted to let all of you know. I will home this this weekend and will forward out the obituary that will appear in the local newspaper. I have not been on the internet in over 10 days. Coverage in the mountains is hit and miss.
My prayers go out to his beloved wife Linda as well as his family & friends during this most difficult time. Not only was he a wonderful friend, husband and Misfit he had a zest for life and was always ready to hit the open road on his Fat Boy.
I ask you to pray for his wife and family while they mourn the passing of our good friend.
He is now an angel riding the great highways in the sky.
Rest in peace my Brother...Ted
